本地爵士歌手兼長笛樂手Vera Lai，畢業於大學音樂系，在校期間屢獲音樂演奏獎項及學業獎學金，並曾赴日本、盧森堡及廣州進行音樂交流與演出，累積豐富的國際舞臺經驗。  

近年活躍於本地爵士樂壇的她，先後參與「大館放空音樂聚」、「自由爵士音樂節」及「瞬間音樂節」等演出，與多位本地知名爵士樂手同臺獻技。其演繹風格橫跨搖擺爵士（Swing）、巴西爵士（Bossa Nova）、藍調（Blues）及當代爵士（Contemporary Jazz），既能擔綱主音，亦擅長和聲編配，展現其紮實的音樂功底與多變的演繹魅力。她同時為爵士女聲組合 “Jazz S.H.E.”的成員。

是次演出，Vera Lai特別邀得爵士結他好手Teriver Cheung合作，除了重新詮釋經典爵士標準曲（Jazz Standards）及巴西音樂外，更將帶來個人原創作品，為樂迷呈獻一場兼具傳統與創新的爵士演出。

Hong Kong-based jazz vocalist and flutist Vera Lai graduated with a degree in music, having received multiple awards for musical performance and academic excellence during her studies. She has further enriched her artistry through musical exchanges and performances in Japan, Luxembourg, and Guangzhou, accumulating extensive international stage experience.  

An active figure in the local jazz scene in recent years, she has performed at notable events such as “Chill Steps at Tai Kwun”, Freespace Jazz Festival, and Transience Music Festival, sharing the stage with renowned local jazz musicians. Her versatile repertoire spans swing, bossa nova, blues, and contemporary jazz, showcasing her solid musicianship and dynamic vocal expression—whether as a lead vocalist or a harmony arranger. She is also a member of the jazz group “Jazz S.H.E.”  

For this special performance, Vera Lai has invited acclaimed jazz guitarist Teriver Cheung to join her in reimagining classic jazz standards and Brazilian tunes, alongside original compositions, promising audiences a captivating blend of tradition and innovation in jazz.
