Vera Lai x Ron Ng

在爵士樂的演出編制中，人聲與吉他的 Duo（二重奏）永遠是最能感受樂手默契的形式之一。本次演出由本地爵士女歌手Vera Lai攜手資深結他手 Ron Ng，帶來一場親密的音樂對話。

畢業於音樂系的 Vera，近年活躍於「自由爵士音樂節」及大館等舞台，演唱風格流暢涵蓋 Swing、Bossa Nova 到當代爵士，聲線溫暖且具備細膩的律動感；而彈奏吉他逾二十年的 Ron，曾師從 Eugene Pao 等名家並參與 Peter Bernstein 等大師班，更曾為無极樂團編寫融合爵士風格的作品。

當晚的曲目除了兩人精心梳理的經典Jazz Standards外，更將特別呈獻 Vera 與 Ron 近期發行的原創作品，從傳統和聲的流轉到原創旋律的現代視野。

In jazz instrumentation, the vocal-and-guitar duo remains one of the most intimate formats for experiencing a shared musical intuition. For this performance, local jazz vocalist Vera Lai teams up with veteran guitarist Ron Ng to present a warm, conversation-like set.

A music graduate who has become an active presence at events like the Freespace Jazz Festival and Tai Kwun, Vera brings a warm, nuanced sense of phrasing across swing, bossa nova, and contemporary jazz. Joining her is Ron, a guitarist with over two years of experience who has studied under masters like Eugene Pao, attended masterclasses with Peter Bernstein, and composed jazz-fusion works for the Wuji Ensemble.

Alongside a carefully curated selection of classic jazz standards, the evening will feature recently released original compositions from both Vera and Ron—bridging traditional harmonic flow with a modern melodic outlook.
