在情人節這個充滿愛意的日子，本地爵士女歌手Vera Lai將帶來一場以「愛」為主題的爵士音樂會。演出將聚焦於描繪愛情不同階段與心情的經典爵士情歌。Vera精心挑選的曲目，包括如經典的《Moonglow》、深情的《The Nearness of You》、輕鬆搖擺的《Days of Wine and Roses》，以及巴西風情的《Jardin d’hiver》等作品。這些歌曲將像一封封以聲音寫成的情書，細述愛情中的五味雜陳。

Vera是一位兼具長笛演奏能力的歌手，畢業於大學音樂系，曾多次於本地重要演出場合亮相，如大館「放空音樂聚」、西九自由爵士音樂節及瞬間音樂節，並與多位活躍的本地爵士樂手合作。她的演唱風格多元，橫跨傳統搖擺、巴西爵士、藍調及當代爵士等類型。

On Valentine's Day, a day filled with love, local jazz vocalist Vera Lai will present a jazz concert themed around “Love.” The performance will focus on classic jazz ballads that depict the different stages and emotions of love. Vera's carefully curated repertoire includes timeless pieces like “Moonglow,” the soulful “The Nearness of You,” the light-hearted swing of “Days of Wine and Roses,” and the Brazilian-inspired “Jardin d'hiver.” These songs will unfold like love letters composed in sound, narrating the bittersweet complexities of romance.

Vera is a singer who also plays the flute. A graduate of a university music program, she has performed at major local events such as Tai Kwun's “Music in the Open,” the West Kowloon Free Jazz Festival, and the Moment Music Festival, collaborating with numerous active local jazz musicians. Her vocal style is diverse, spanning traditional swing, Brazilian jazz, blues, and contemporary jazz.

The performance centers on the human voice, accompanied by a minimal yet complete band arrangement, creating an intimate atmosphere perfect for a Valentine's Day evening.
