結他手包以正（Eugene Pao）與張駿豪（Teriver Cheung）的名字，分別代表著香港爵士樂兩個世代的重要聲音。這場在CODA的二重奏音樂會，將呈現兩位本地頂尖結他手二重奏的親密感與音樂深度。

包以正是香港最具公眾辨識度的爵士音樂家。八十年代中期留美返港後，他便一直站在推廣爵士樂的前沿，至今已逾三十五年。他曾與Michael Brecker、Jack DeJohnette、Eddie Gomez等傳奇人物合作，錄製多張備受推崇的專輯，足跡遍及紐約林肯中心、倫敦皇家亞伯特音樂廳、東京Blue Note等世界頂尖場館。

張駿豪是少數立足國際的香港出生爵士結他手與作曲家。在紐約發展多年，回港後策劃多個重要音樂項目，包括獲得好評的多媒體音樂會《禾．日．水．巷》，並成立瞬．樂團，積極開拓爵士與古典樂手的合作空間。他曾與Eddie Gómez、Eric Marienthal等格林美獎得主合作，並為樂隊R.O.O.T吉他手。

結他二重奏是一種特別講究默契與聆聽的編制。沒有節奏組的支撐，兩位樂手需要同時肩負旋律、和聲與節奏的角色，在音樂的留白與互動中，創造出既獨立又交融的聲響。Eugene與Teriver的合作，預示著一場充滿火花而又內斂的對話。

Guitarists Eugene Pao and Teriver Cheung represent two important voices from different generations of Hong Kong’s jazz scene. This duo concert at CODA will showcase the intimacy and musical depth that arise when two of the city’s top jazz guitarists perform together.

Eugene Pao is the most publicly recognized jazz musician in Hong Kong. Since returning from the United States in the mid-1980s, he has been at the forefront of promoting jazz for more than thirty-five years. He has collaborated with legendary figures such as Michael Brecker, Jack DeJohnette, and Eddie Gomez, recorded several highly acclaimed albums, and performed at world-class venues including Lincoln Center in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and Blue Note Tokyo.

Teriver Cheung is one of the few Hong Kong-born jazz guitarists and composers who have established an international career. Having developed his craft in New York for many years, he returned to Hong Kong to curate a number of major musical projects, including the well-received multimedia concert "Hong Kong Episode", and founded the Ensemble Transcience, which actively explores collaborations between jazz and classical musicians. He has also worked with Grammy Award winners such as Eddie Gómez and Eric Marienthal, and serves as the guitarist of the band R.O.O.T.

A guitar duo is a format that requires exceptional chemistry and listening. Without the support of a rhythm section, both musicians must take on the roles of melody, harmony, and rhythm at once, creating a sound that is both distinct and interwoven through space and interaction. The collaboration between Eugene and Teriver promises a dialogue that is at once sparkling and introspective.
