本地爵士結他手Tam Jai即將迎來他音樂學習歷程中的重要時刻——一場以畢業音樂會形式呈現的爵士四重奏演出。他將與鋼琴手Anson、低音大提琴手Chun、鼓手Wai聯手，選取咆勃爵士（Bebop）鋼琴家暨教育家Barry Harris所編排的爵士標準曲（Standards），以他們的視角重新演繹這些經典作品。

Tam Jai現正於大學音樂系就讀，近年活躍於本地爵士場景，曾於香港多個餐廳與場地演出，累積了豐富的現場經驗。他的演奏以重新編排爵士標準曲為主，風格遊走於多元爵士元素之間，展現出對傳統曲目的個人理解與詮釋意圖。

Local jazz guitarist Tam Jai is about to reach a major milestone in his musical journey — a jazz quartet graduation recital. He will be joined by pianist Anson, bassist Chun, and drummer Wai to reinterpret jazz standards arranged by Bebop pianist and educator Barry Harris, presenting these timeless works from their own musical perspectives.

Currently studying in the university’s music department, Tam Jai has been active in the local jazz scene in recent years, performing in various restaurants and venues across Hong Kong and gaining extensive live experience. His performances mainly focus on re-arranging jazz standards, blending diverse jazz styles while expressing his own understanding and interpretation of traditional repertoire.

The repertoire for this concert carries special significance. Barry Harris (1929–2021) was not only a bebop piano master but also a highly influential jazz educator. His insights into harmonic movement, voice leading, and improvisational language have profoundly shaped generations of musicians.
