We recently bid farewell to jazz titan Sonny Rollins. His explosive improvisations and pioneering language profoundly shaped generations of musicians. To honor his legacy, we will spend the evening listening to his 1956 masterpiece, Saxophone Colossus.

Widely regarded as an iconic pillar of jazz, the album showcases Rollins at his peak. From the spirited St. Thomas to the formidable Blue 7, he demonstrates the saxophone’s narrative depth within a quartet format, complemented by the masterful interplay of Tommy Flanagan, Doug Watkins, and Max Roach.
