【Jazz Signature: S.P.K. Trio】 代表本地爵士樂聲音的新生代

Eason Chan, Brian Cheung, Michael Chan, 三位年輕的爵士樂家，標誌著香港本地爵士樂的活力。

鋼琴手Eason參與多部本地電影及電視劇的配樂創作，包括電影《二次人生》、《不日成婚》、《狂舞派3》、《媽媽的神奇小子》，以及電視劇《二月廿九》、《940920》等。同時，陳氏亦與唱作歌手 Lester Lam，Moon Tang 和 Anna Hisbbur 恆常合作。他善於將其他音樂領域的經驗，帶回到爵士樂的根，並加以活化運用。Eason活躍於本地爵士樂壇，於大館、留白、Freespace 爵士音樂節演出。他參與 Happy Go Lucky Big Band 的演出，並組成樂隊 Laminar Quartet 和 7th Wave Septet，發表原創爵士樂作品。

色士風手Brian，曾受邀參與多個音樂節及演出，包括西九文化區自由爵士音樂節、Ensemble Transience 等。近年亦積極參與錄音及電影配樂工作，合作項目包括黃衍仁的《嚼事之夜》及電影《金手指》等。

吉他手Michael 的演奏方法富有個人風格。他持續接受本地吉他手Tsui Chin Hung、美國傳統爵士吉他手Chris Park 及John Stowell 的私人指導，希望從東西方文化中，結合出一把屬於自己的聲音。Brian與Michael同為爵士普及團體《翻騰三周半》成員之一，致力於推廣爵士樂及音樂教育工作。

他們三人的故事標誌著爵士樂在香港慢慢普及，並孕育出屬於本地而且出色的爵士樂聲音。

皆因三人的音樂室同時在新蒲崗，因而取名為S.P.K. Trio。當晚他們將會互相演繹對方的原創音樂，並挑選他們喜歡的現代爵士樂曲，介紹給本地樂迷認識。

Pianist Eason has contributed to the soundtracks of several local films and television dramas, including "Second Life," "Upcoming Wedding," "Dance Storm 3," and "Mom's Magical Son," as well as TV dramas such as "February 29" and "940920." He frequently collaborates with singer-songwriters Lester Lam, Moon Tang, and Anna Hisbbur. Eason excels at integrating his diverse musical experiences into the roots of jazz, revitalizing this genre. He is an active participant in the local jazz scene, performing at venues such as Tai Kwun, White Cube, and the Freespace Jazz Festival. He has also participated in performances with the Happy Go Lucky Big Band and formed ensembles like the Laminar Quartet and 7th Wave Septet, showcasing original jazz works.

Saxophonist Brian has been invited to perform at various music festivals and events, including the West Kowloon Cultural District Free Jazz Festival and Ensemble Transience. In recent years, he has actively engaged in recording and film scoring projects, collaborating on works such as Wong Yan-kin's "Chewing the Night" and the film "Goldfinger."

Guitarist Michael brings a distinctive personal style to his performances. He has been studying under local guitarist Tsui Chin Hung and American traditional jazz guitarists Chris Park and John Stowell, aiming to synthesize a unique voice that draws from both Eastern and Western musical traditions. Both Brian and Michael are members of the jazz collective "Three and a Half Beats," dedicated to promoting jazz and music education.

The stories of these three musicians reflect the gradual popularization of jazz in Hong Kong, nurturing a distinctive local jazz sound. Their musical collaboration takes place in San Po Kong, inspiring the name S.P.K Trio. During their performance, they will reinterpret each other's original compositions and introduce their favorite modern jazz pieces to local audiences.
