【Valentine’s Day SPECIAL: Roger Chung x Jezrael Lucero】Love in Films: A Jazz Affair on Valentine's Day

在電影中出現爵士樂的例子其實多不勝數，而部分曲目之後更演變成樂迷為之熟悉的jazz standard，當中包括Beautiful Love, There Will Never Be Another You, Stella by Starlight等。

電影與爵士樂的關係，更包括著名爵士樂手於電影中客串，例子有Miles Davis出演Dingo (1989)，Louis Armstrong出演High Society (1956)以及Herbie Hancock 出演Round Midnight (1986)。

今年情人節，CODA十分高興邀請到本地爵士演唱家Roger Chung，聯同鋼琴手Jezrael Lucero，為我們演繹從浪漫電影挑選出來的歌曲，當中包括Sleepless In Seattle, Casablanca, An Affair to Remember, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, When Harry Met Sally等。

Roger與Jezrael在音樂上一直有緊密的合作，Roger在2019年推出的專輯Song Book，便是與Jezrael duo 的作品。

There are countless examples of jazz music appearing in films, with some tracks evolving into familiar jazz standards, including Beautiful Love, There Will Never Be Another You, and Stella by Starlight.

The connection between film and jazz also features renowned jazz musicians making cameo appearances, such as Miles Davis in Dingo (1989), Louis Armstrong in High Society (1956), and Herbie Hancock in Round Midnight (1986).

This Valentine's Day, CODA is thrilled to invite local jazz vocalist Roger Chung, along with pianist Jezrael Lucero, to perform a selection of songs from romantic films, including Sleepless in Seattle, Casablanca, An Affair to Remember, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and When Harry Met Sally.

Roger and Jezrael have maintained a close musical collaboration, with Roger's 2019 album Song Book features their duo work. If you love romantic jazz ballads, this is an evening you won't want to miss!
