當鼓手兼樂團領軍人Nate Wong率領四重奏登台CODA Jazz Kissa，觀眾將體驗的不只是一場演出——更是當代爵士最真實的集體創作樣貌。雖以他為名，這個四人組合實則展現了平等對話的藝術精神：薩克斯手Yu Hagiwara、吉他手Eric Chong、低音大提琴手Scott Dodd，每位皆是獨當一面的音樂家，共同鑄就現代爵士的協作本質。

作為土生土長香港人，Nate Wong曾獲獎學金赴伯克利音樂學院深造，歸港後始終是本地樂壇的動力源泉。自2014年返港以來，他不僅與包以正、羅尚正等爵士名家同台，更以搖滾樂團Nowhere Boys創始成員身份塑造流行音樂風景。

四重奏將呈現原創作品與創新編曲，在統一的音樂視野中凸顯每位成員的獨特聲線——Yu的流暢旋律、Eric的精妙和聲、Scott Dodd的穩健律動，與Nate充滿爆發力的鼓藝交融，鑄就既精緻又充滿能量的聲響。

When drummer and bandleader Nate Wong brings his quartet to CODA Jazz Kissa, audiences will experience more than a performance—they’ll witness a musical collective in its truest form. Though the group bears his name, the ensemble features four equal voices: Yu Hagiwara on saxophone, Eric Chong on guitar, and Scott Dodd on bass, each a respected artist in their own right. Together, they embody the collaborative heart of modern jazz.

Nate Wong—a Hong Kong native who honed his craft at Berklee College of Music on scholarship—has long been a kinetic force in the city’s music scene. Since returning to Hong Kong in 2014, he has performed with jazz luminaries like Eugene Pao and Ted Lo, while also shaping the pop landscape as a founding member of the chart-topping band Nowhere Boys.

The quartet’s performance will feature original compositions and inventive arrangements, highlighting each member’s distinct voice within a unified musical vision. Yu’s melodic fluency, Eric’s harmonic sophistication, and Scott’s rhythmic grounding merge with Nate’s dynamic drumming to create a sound that is both refined and irresistibly energetic.

This is jazz that speaks in multiple accents—rooted in tradition, yet vibrantly contemporary.
