【Jazz Signature: Nate Wong Quartet】 多面向鼓手率領爵士樂隊演繹Bebop, Hard Bop與Post Bop

鼓手Nate Wong已在香港扎根發展音樂事業十一年。過去十一年間，他活躍於多個香港爵士音樂節，並登上東京爵士音樂節、聖荷西爵士音樂節及Blue Note俱樂部（上海、北京、東京分店）等國際舞台。

除爵士樂外，Nate亦曾與樂隊Nowhere Boys合作推出排行榜冠軍作品，並與鄭秀文等香港巨星在香港紅磡體育館同台演出。

Nate近期結束紐約進修重返本地樂壇，將以香港音樂人視角重新詮釋咆勃（bebop）、硬式咆勃（hard bop）及後咆勃（post bop）等當代爵士風格。演出曲目涵蓋爵士經典、原創作品及開放即興段落，勢必帶來一場充滿能量與魅力的爵士演出。

Drummer Nate Wong is navigating his eleventh year as a musician based in Hong Kong. Over these 11 years Nate has performed at numerous jazz festivals within HK as well as prestigious venues like the Tokyo Jazz Festival, San Jose Jazz Festival and the Blue Note Clubs in Shanghai, Beijing and Tokyo. Outside of jazz music Nate has produced chart topping hits with his band Nowhere Boys as well as performing in HK Coliseum with some of HK’s biggest stars like Sammi Cheng. 

Fresh of a sabbatical to New York City, Nate returns to the HK jazz scene excited to present the sounds of contemporary jazz music steeped in the traditions of bebop, hard bop and post bop music, most importantly and unapologetically through the lens of a Hong Kong musician. Program will include jazz classics, original music and vehicles for open improvisation, and promises to be an energetic and enigmatic performance.
