【Jazz Signature: Manson Luk Quartet】悉尼回流的爵士鼓手，開創跨越文化的獨特音樂

香港出生、悉尼深耕的鼓手與作曲家Manson Luk，開創了一條跨越文化的獨特音樂道路，體現當代爵士的融合本質。作為悉尼音樂學院校友，師承Simon Barker、Kevin Hunt與Alexander Inman Hislop等知名音樂學者，Manson發展出融合福音音樂、爵士、嘻哈與電影配樂的音樂風格。

作為樂團 ZODIAC 的領軍者，Manson 的藝術成就屢創里程碑：首張專輯《The Wild Wild East》（2024）獲澳洲廣播公司委約創作；2025年第二張專輯《From》則由知名Yee Brothers 執導紀錄片，並獲Sound NSW支持。他近期橫跨馬來西亞、香港與日本的巡演，見證其在亞洲爵士版圖的影響力。

此次回歸香港舞台，Manson 將於 CODA Jazz Kissa 集結結他手Alan Kwan、鋼琴手Bowen Li與低音提琴手Nelson Fung組成四重奏。音樂會將築起澳洲與香港爵士的橋樑，曲目涵蓋已故傳奇Judy Bailey的經典之作，以及Alan、Bowen與Manson自己的原創作品，敬請期待！

Manson Luk—the Hong Kong-born, Sydney-based drummer and composer—has carved a unique path across continents, embodying the fluidity of contemporary jazz. An alumnus of the University of Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where he studied under renowned mentors including Dr. Simon Barker, Dr. Kevin Hunt, and Dr. Alexander Inman Hislop, Manson has developed a rhythmic language that draws from gospel, jazz, hip-hop, and film score traditions.

As the leader of the contemporary jazz ensemble ZODIAC, Manson has achieved significant milestones: his debut album, The Wild Wild East (2024), was commissioned by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, while his 2025 sophomore release, From, was accompanied by a documentary directed by the acclaimed Yee brothers and supported by Sound NSW. His recent tour across Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Japan further underscores his growing influence in the regional jazz landscape.

For his homecoming performance at CODA Jazz Kissa, Manson assembles an exceptional quartet featuring guitarist Alan Kwan, pianist Bowen Li, and bassist Nelson Fung. The program bridges Australian and Hong Kong jazz traditions, featuring works by the late great Judy Bailey, alongside original compositions by Kwan, Li, and Manson himself. This collaboration is more than a performance—it is a musical conversation between two vibrant jazz cultures, reflecting shared histories and distinct voices.
