【Jazz Signature: Kaona & Friends】本地唱作才女的音樂修行

在香港土生土長的唱作人Kaona，這些年靜靜地以詩意詞章與靈性嗓音，在樂壇走出獨特風景。這位中英兼擅的音樂詩人，總能將城市人的情感密語，化作一首首難以歸類的靈魂樂章。  

2009年初試啼聲，便被樂評人拿來與民謠詩人Joni Mitchell相提並論。但Kaona的音樂軌跡顯然更為跳脫，從爵士到騷靈，再到讓人忍不住跟着搖擺的放克節奏，她像個音樂煉金術士，不斷調配出新鮮聲響。  

當年放棄主流唱片合約的決定，如今看來格外清醒。選擇以創作人身分與海外音樂人碰撞，反而讓她的作品保持港產原味。Clockenflap、草莓音樂節等舞台上的演出，每每讓人驚艷。  

曾任華納音樂A&R總監的她，既是幕前唱作人，也是幕後推手。這種雙重身分，讓她對香港樂壇有着獨到見解。

Kaona’s journey as a bilingual singer-songwriter and poet reflects a rare dedication to artistic authenticity and evolution. Her refusal to conform to industry expectations—turning down a major label deal early in her career—speaks to her commitment to creative independence. Instead, she honed her craft as a songwriter, collaborating with international producers while maintaining her distinct voice.  

Her music, often compared to Joni Mitchell’s poetic folk, has expanded into jazz, soul, and groove-laden arrangements, showcasing her versatility. Beyond her own work, her role as Warner Music’s former Regional A&R Director allowed her to shape the careers of emerging artists while continuing to innovate as a performer.  

The upcoming June 7th performance promises to be a dynamic showcase of her genre-blending artistry, featuring collaborations with musicians Elliot, Anson, and Terry.
