來自倫敦的鋼琴手Edgar Ho，將首度在香港以Jazz Organ Trio形式亮相，聯同本地色士風手Jonas Cho及鼓手Jerry Kan，帶來一場以Hammond SK1電風琴為主軸的演出。

是次演出的核心樂器為Hammond SK1鍵盤。這款樂器忠實還原了經典Hammond Organ的標誌性音色，並搭載高品質的數位Leslie揚聲器模擬器，能夠重現Jazz Organ Trio編制中不可或缺的旋轉音響效果。電子風琴的加入，將帶來有別於傳統鋼琴的質感與提供持續低音張力。

Edgar Ho是倫敦爵士圈新進鋼琴手，擅長在傳統bebop基礎上融入當代風格。他的演奏受Oscar Peterson等前輩影響，線條流暢且充滿藍調即興色彩，呈現出紮實的爵士根基。

與他合作的兩位本地樂手，均是近年備受注目的新生代力量。色士風手Jonas Cho畢業於伯克利音樂學院，曾獲校內Andy McGhee獎學金，2025年推出個人專輯《Daydreamer》獲得好評。鼓手Jerry Kan則以紮實的古典訓練為基礎，活躍於本地各類爵士組合，曾入選意大利錫耶納爵士夏令營，節奏思維靈活而具創意。

Jazz Organ Trio是爵士樂中極具魅力的編制形式，電子風琴同時肩負和聲、低音與旋律疊加的角色，與色士風及鼓形成緊密的對話空間。

Pianist Edgar Ho from London will make his Hong Kong debut in the jazz organ trio format, joining local saxophonist Jonas Cho and drummer Jerry Kan for a performance centered on the Hammond SK1 organ.

The core instrument of this concert is the Hammond SK1 keyboard, which faithfully recreates the signature sound of the classic Hammond organ and features a high‑quality digital Leslie speaker simulator, capable of reproducing the swirling rotary effect essential to the jazz organ trio idiom. The addition of the organ brings a different texture from the traditional piano, offering a distinctive tone and a sustained, driving low end.

Edgar Ho is a rising pianist on the London jazz scene, known for weaving contemporary elements into a foundation rooted in traditional bebop. Influenced by predecessors such as Oscar Peterson, his playing is characterized by fluid lines and blues‑inflected improvisation, revealing a solid grounding in jazz.

His two local collaborators are among the most notable new voices in Hong Kong’s jazz community. Saxophonist Jonas Cho is a graduate of Berklee College of Music, and a recipient of the Andy McGhee Scholarship. His 2025 debut album Daydreamer received critical acclaim. Drummer Jerry Kan, who has a strong background in classical training, is active across a wide range of local jazz ensembles. He was selected for the Siena Jazz Summer Workshop in Italy, demonstrating a flexible and imaginative rhythmic approach.

The jazz organ trio is one of the most captivating ensemble formats in jazz: the organ simultaneously playing harmony, bass, and layered melodic roles, creating an intimate space for close musical conversation with saxophone and drums.
