【Jazz Signature: Edgar Ho Organ Trio】以Hammond SK1向經典Jazz Organ Trio致敬

來自倫敦的鋼琴手 Edgar Ho 將為 CODA帶來首個Jazz Organ Trio演出，以 Hammond SK1 電風琴為主軸，聯手結他手 Eric Chong 和鼓手 Jerry Kan，演繹經典爵士曲目。

是次演出十分特別，Edgar將會帶來一部Hammond SK1作演出。Hammond SK1是一款擁有優質經典Hammond Organ音色的鍵盤，並搭載高質感的數位Leslie揚聲器模擬器，能忠實還原Jazz Organ Trio不可或缺的樂器。

Edgar Ho 是倫敦爵士圈中活躍的新進鋼琴手，擅長在傳統bebop爵士基礎上融入個人當代風格。受 Oscar Peterson 等前輩影響，他的演奏十分流暢，同時富有很多藍調的即興樂句，呈現紮實的爵士根基。

演出曲目精選自爵士標準曲與硬式咆勃，包括〈Nobody Else But Me〉、〈Days of Wine and Roses〉、〈Moment's Notice〉、〈Just Squeeze Me〉等作品，靈感汲取自 Joey DeFrancesco、Jimmy Smith、Wes Montgomery 等風琴與結他大師。

London-based pianist Edgar Ho will present CODA's first-ever Jazz Organ Trio performance, leading on the Hammond SK1 organ alongside guitarist Eric Chong and drummer Jerry Kan in a program dedicated to classic jazz repertoire.

This performance is particularly distinctive as Edgar will perform on the Hammond SK1—a keyboard renowned for its authentic Hammond organ tones, enhanced by high-quality digital Leslie speaker simulations that faithfully recreate the essential sound of a traditional Jazz Organ Trio.

An emerging voice in London's jazz scene, Edgar Ho skillfully blends traditional bebop foundations with a contemporary approach. Influenced by masters like Oscar Peterson, his playing is marked by fluid phrasing and blues-inflected improvisations, reflecting both technical assurance and deep-rooted musicality.

The program features a selection of jazz standards and hard bop pieces, including Nobody Else But Me, Days of Wine and Roses, Moment's Notice, and Just Squeeze Me—paying homage to organ and guitar greats such as Joey DeFrancesco, Jimmy Smith, and Wes Montgomery.
