Alex Woods是一位來自英國屢獲殊榮的色士風演奏家和編作曲家。他與多位格林美得獎者表演，包括Jamie Cullum and Charlotte Church，亦為Vince Mendoza, Lalah Hathaway等格林美獎得主編曲。

完成曼哈頓音樂學院爵士樂碩士課程後，Alex在世界各地授教和演出：他曾歐洲多次巡演，及在美國、香港、新加坡等地演出；他在皇家伯明翰音樂學院任教，並在各地多所學府擔任客座講師。

更重要的是，Alex溫暖的音色以及簡單直接但又不失深度的演奏風格，往往都在CODA演出時都讓觀眾想要聽多一首又一首的encore！

這次演出Alex將繼續與低音大提琴手Justin Siu和鼓手 Samuel Chan組成Trio，這個組合風格偏向Bebop/Hardbop，直接易懂，十分建議初次接觸爵士樂的朋友前來觀賞！

Alex Woods is an award-winning saxophonist and composer from the UK. He has performed with Grammy-winning artists such as Jamie Cullum and Charlotte Church, and arranged music for Grammy laureates including Vince Mendoza and Lalah Hathaway.

After completing his Master’s in Jazz Studies at the Manhattan School of Music, Alex has taught and performed globally, touring extensively across Europe and appearing in the US, Hong Kong, Singapore, and beyond. He currently teaches at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and serves as a guest lecturer at institutions worldwide.

Most importantly, Alex’s warm tone and his approachable yet profoundly expressive style always captivates audiences at CODA—every performance leaves listeners craving encore after encore!  

For this show, Alex will reunite with bassist Justin Siu and drummer Samuel Chan to form a trio rooted in Bebop/Hardbop traditions. Their music strikes a perfect balance between accessibility and sophistication, making it an ideal introduction for jazz newcomers. Don’t miss this electrifying blend of rhythm and melody! 🎷✨
