9月30日，香港結他手Michael Chan將與台灣金曲獎得主關家傑在CODA Jazz Kissa帶來一場純粹而精妙的爵士結他二重奏。

這種樂器配置在爵士樂中能營造一種獨特的質感，完全依靠兩把結他的互動來構建完整的音樂架構。爵士結他二重奏這種編制要求演奏者具備極高的音樂素養。兩位結他手必須即時轉換角色，交替擔當和聲支撐與旋律引導，透過精準的動態對比來創造音樂張力，同時在即興段落中保持音樂結構的完整性。

Michael Chan的音樂旅程始於11歲，在英國求學期間深受爵士樂吸引，先後師承美國爵士結他名家Chris Parks及本地好手崔展鴻。2019年返港後，他活躍於各大演出場所，從荃灣大會堂到LauBak Livehouse，並參與Clockenflap、西九自由爵士音樂節等重要音樂活動。他更創立FountainDeChopin爵士普及計劃，致力推廣爵士樂教育，其努力獲得《南華早報》等媒體的專題報導。

爵士吉他二重奏的經典範例包括Jim Hall與Bill Frisell合作的《Hemispheres》，或是John Scofield與Pat Metheny的《I Can See Your House From Here》，都展現了結他二重奏獨特的藝術魅力。

On September 30th, Hong Kong guitarist Michael Chan will join forces with Alan Kwan, Taiwan's Golden Melody Award-winning artist, for an exquisite jazz guitar duo performance at CODA Jazz Kissa.

This rare instrumental configuration creates a uniquely intimate texture in jazz, relying entirely on the interplay between two guitars to construct a complete musical architecture. The jazz guitar duo format demands exceptional musicianship - both players must fluidly alternate between harmonic support and melodic leadership, crafting musical tension through precise dynamic contrasts while maintaining structural integrity during improvisational passages.

Michael Chan began his musical journey at age 11. During his studies in the UK, he fell deeply for jazz, training under renowned American jazz guitarist Chris Parks and local virtuoso Tsui Chin Hung. Since returning to Hong Kong in 2019, he has become a fixture at venues ranging from Tsuen Wan Town Hall to LauBak Livehouse, while performing at major events like Clockenflap and West Kowloon's Freespace Jazz Festival. His educational initiative FountainDeChopin, dedicated to promoting jazz appreciation, has been featured in the South China Morning Post and other media.

The jazz guitar duo tradition boasts classic recordings like Hemispheres by Jim Hall and Bill Frisell, or John Scofield and Pat Metheny's I Can See Your House From Here, all showcasing the format's distinctive artistic possibilities.
