Lam與Karen同在香港成長，並以廣東話為母語。兩人於香港大學修讀文學及法律時結識並成為好友，多年來一直在生活與創作中相伴。Lam現以中英雙語寫作；Karen則主要以英文發表作品，包括其以自身經歷書寫香港的自傳《The Impossible City: A Hong Kong Memoir》。

今年，Lam經英國出版社404 Ink出版了新書《Speak Still: Articulating the Silence of Bilingualism》：作為一個以廣東話為母語、現居倫敦的香港作者，Lam 執意以英語書寫，探究其在英語這個第二語言中所經歷的失語狀態。Speak Still 揉合自傳及散文，思考連串問題：何以許多英語非母語者，雖然從小學習英語，卻仍無法自在自如地活在這種語言之中？我們該怎樣在失語之中重新找到自己的聲音，並重塑善用這種雙語者獨有的沉默？

歡迎參與是次對談，與兩人一同討論中英夾雜、寫作、以及那些言不盡意的幽微思緒。

現場將限量發售《Speak Still》及《The Impossible City》。
